Networks and Internet of Things (IoT)
The “Networks & IoT” research area seeks to address the rapidly-emerging transformations of digital and communications infrastructure and develop new thinking about the digital world of the future. New uses and ways of life have led to an unprecedented level of connection between computer science and networks, networks whose hierarchical architecture is disappearing and being replaced by distributed reconfigurable systems which are extensively used in virtualization techniques. These new uses will be integrated into the world of objects, computing centers (at the network edge and core) and information systems in a new model where connectivity, computing and information will be processed continuously and dynamically.
To respond to these technical challenges, the “Networks and & IoT” research area will focus particularly on agile architecture (end-to-end services, smart networks), connectivity and communication, and embedded and distributed systems.

The expertise of researchers working in the “Networks and IoT” area covers :
Optimization and deployment of networks
Traffic management and operation
Services infrastructures, security
Uses
